The King Family Next Step Dance Scholarship

The King Family Next Step Dance Scholarship was created to celebrate Nasir King’s dance journey at JDM Fine Arts Academy and the positive impact the arts can have on a child’s life.

As the King family prepares for an exciting move to California, they have chosen to leave behind a gift that will continue to encourage and inspire young dancers for years to come. Through their generosity, one deserving student will receive full dance tuition for the entire 2026–2027 season at JDM Fine Arts Academy.

The King family’s hope is that this scholarship will provide another child with the same opportunity to learn, grow, perform, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for dance.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to all students, including both newly enrolled students and returning students. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be enrolled or re-enrolled for the 2026–2027 season at JDM Fine Arts Academy.

Applicants should demonstrate:

• A passion for dance
• A commitment to learning and personal growth
• A desire to participate in the performing arts

Scholarship Includes

• Full dance tuition for the 2026–2027 season
• Professional dance instruction
• Performance opportunities
• A supportive and encouraging arts community

Please Note

The scholarship covers dance tuition only and does not include dancewear, dance shoes, or the annual recital fee.
